A wrongfully overlooked singer/songwriter of the 1960s-1980s. His songs always told stories making him one of the best story tellers of all time. He gave over half of the money he'd make to charities living by the philosophy "I play one night for myself and one night for the other
guy." He started an organization called World Hunger Year to
help stop
people from starving. He didn'
t have a particularly great singing voice but the songs he sang more than made up for it.
Now if a man tried to take his time on
Earth and prove before he died what
one man's life could be worth well I wonder what would happen to this
world. -- Harry Chapin
