The opposite of being innovative. Going back to doing things in an old fashioned way or in a way that has not previously brought success, or has brought failure.
Shopper: "I'd like to trade in this iPod touch, please, and exchange it for that Walkman."
Sales Advisor: "So you want to trade in the latest technology for something obsolete? That's unnovative!"

The new Apple mouse with a charging port at the bottom is a classic case of unnovation—it's inconveniently designed yet marketed as a cutting-edge product.
