Someone who modifies their body in a way that turns them from a biological being called a homo sapien sapien into something, presumably better, and technically immortal.

This does not include prosthetics for people after accidents who only want to experience a somewhat normal mortal life.

You replace your arm with completely mechanical parts.

You implant computer parts into your brain to calculate mathematical problems faster. You are now Transhumanist.

You inject yourself with synthetic blood components that include stronger immunology, better termination of rogue cells and molecules, better gas transport. You are now a Transhumanist.

The Transhumanist States of America, shortened as H+SA, is a fictional country where the Transhumanist Party US takes power in the USA and turn the USA into a transhumanist country. The Transhumanist States of America are characterized by being a classical transhumanist country, despite with some elements of quantumism, technoquantumism, spiritualicism, extraphysicism and post-spacetimeism, where quantumism and technoquantumism are for the ones who doesn't want to become cyborgs nor androids but quantum beings and spiritualicism, extraphysicism and post-spacetimeism are heavily controlled and restricted only for technological-scientific research and for spiritual purposes with a libertarian economy and with state atheism, despite allowing spiritualicism, post-spacetimeism, psionicism, extraphysicism, divinialism and esoteric soulism but all of them being heavily regulated and restricted such as spiritual beliefs and religion are also restricted and regulated.

Transhumanism 

A movement supporting the use of reason, science and technology to advance and enhance human abilities and existence under optimal conditions. Can be see as an extension of humanism, but with much more emphasis on the future. Transhumanists believe that we should try to overcome our biological limitations thru the use of such things as nanotechnology, cryonics, AI, mind uploading, space-time engineering, eugenics, and what not in order to become posthuman.

The goal of transhumanism to become more than human.
