2. Offering ones finger when making a promise, as if to allow them the opportunity to
bite,
saw, or break it off if the promise is not kept.
1. Kyle- "what's fishing like her in July?"
Jim- "Well, I'll tell ya this much, the
fish ya'll caught today
don't hold a finger to the ones in July!"
2. Bill- "You gotta be kidding me! I
don't believe you at all!"
Wes- " I promise on my mother's grave!"
Bill- "I still don't believe you!"
Wes- "Here, look, I'll hold my finger to it."
