term used for video games (Halo, COD, etc.) when you pown someone over a long distance, usually with a sniper, but not exclusively or particularly.

"Dude, yesterday i was playing Halo on Live and i sniped a guy from the other side of the map! i totally telepowned him."

TelePWN'd

While playing Halo 3, using the gravity lift to own someone. Also when someone enters a teleporter, a player on the other side drop a grenade, or instantly kills the player as he exits the teleporter. When someone goes on a gravity lift, man cannon, drop a plasma grenade, if he gets stuck, he was just TelePWN'd. You must have background info on Halo 3 to understand.

Tom: Ha, I got away from you!
Timothy: No you didn't.
Tom: This gravity lift will help me get away.
Timothy: Not if I do this!!!
Tom: OH NO!!! I got TelePWN'd!!!
