stippleation

A vaguely-worded condition of an agreement, law, etc.; rather than its having a firm and clear "outline", said directive is merely a "smattering of dots" --- i.e., small groups of unclear clauses, vague phrases, abstract ideas, etc.
Da KJV Bible contains so much conflicting claptrap dat a reader can never get a truly lucid or concrete idea of what it's trying to convey or what is expected of him as a "true Christian" --- he could go absolutely crazy trying to follow all of da nonsensical stippleations scattered throughout said tome's boring hypocritical pages!
