A relationship, usually a business one, that relies conditionally on either side fulfilling something for the other (I.e. stipulations). A relationship relying not on love or friendship, but rather on favors or bribes.

My boss doesn’t really care about me. We sort of have a stipulationship.

Situlationship 

In the beginning, a one-night stand is just that. A hook-up. But what happens when that "one-night stand" becomes a regular event? Can still fit definition of hook-up at this point. Slowly, emotions get tangled up. You now have a situation. Particularly if the other person you are in the situation with is living with his sort-of/common-law/fake wife and has two children from previous relationships. Situations get messy, especially when you fall in love with this individual. You're spending more and more time together, it's been a few months, and there are real emotions at stake. Your situation is no longer a situation and not quite a relationship. It's a situlationship. Hopefully, to eventually progress to a relationship.

Yeah, it's all kinds of wonky, but it's our situlationship and nobody else's.

When two people act like a couple and pretend they love each other, using each other as a placeholder until they meet their true love. Usually there are no problems and both sides acknowledge it.

A: Do you want to get married to him?
B: No, were just in a simulationship. It's like an exclusive emotional open relationship ;)

Stepuationship

A highly complicated, unspoken romantic or physical dynamic between step-siblings who share a home, parents, and a lifetime of history, but cannot officially date due to the severe social or familial consequences. Characterized by intense, hidden tension, ambiguous physical boundaries, and a mutual attraction that both parties heavily track but publicly deny to maintain household peace.

Ever since their parents got married and they moved into the same house, Chloe and Logan have been stuck in a total stepuationship—constantly flirting and crossing boundaries when they're alone, but acting like normal, distant siblings the second their parents walk into the room.
