This is a movie which should naturally come to an unpleasant yet thought provoking ending, but right when all hope is lost the friendly and benevolent aliens show up to add a happy twist to an otherwise bleak situation. Does not always apply to aliens themselves but just the idea of the most improbable happening to save the day.
Guy1: I just saw that new movie the ending was so Spielbergian.
Guy2: Happy aliens save the Day?
Guy1: Exactly, and also bring with them a strong moral message.
