The pet version of "mansplain"
When a person (who usually has no experience with raising the subject animal) tries to give you unsolicited advice about said animal.

My relative visits my house and sees my (fluffy and definitely not fat) cat.
Relative: He’s too heavy—he needs to lose a few pounds. You need to put him on X/Y diet.
Me: Thank you for petsplaining. I have taken Theodore to the vet and I can assure you he is just fluff.

I finally decide to get a dog after much planning.
Friend: You shouldn't get your dog now.
Me: Why not?
Friend: Well, dogs require a lot of time.
Me: Yes, do you know how much?
Friend: No, but it's a lot.
Me: Well I do know because I have spent a lot of time researching. Thank you for petsplaining and assuming that I will not be a responsible pet owner but I assure you I have more knowledge and determination than you think.

hetsplain

hetsplaining is basically mansplaining but hetsplaining instead. its a heterosexual explanation for an otherwise not heterosexual thing. a great example of hetsplaining is in folklore: the long pond studio sessions, when taylor swift is explaining the meaning behind the song "betty".

she explains that the song is from a male pov, when actually its just fucking gay. in giving a heterosexual explanation for a gay thing, she has hetsplained the song.

"man, i wish taylor swift would stop hetsplaining all her gay ass songs and just admit that she wrote a song about a woman..."
"taylor swift hetsplaining betty was harmful to her queer fans because they got doxxed by her straight fans. dude she should just be honest when she writes a gay song, like its better than jumping through ALL these hoops JUST to make it straight"

In order to convey the severity of Fluffy's illness the doctor vetsplained the problem precisely and completely to the owner.

If only my veterinarian could describe my dog's problem in a way I understood easily....oh you need her/him to vetsplain it to you.

Don't perpsplain! We all know your grandmother was trying to help you by letting you live in the basement for free. You burned her house down because you're psycho, not because she deserved it!

Pitsplain

When a news story identifies the breed in a gruesome dog attack as a pit bull, and the comments are immediately overwhelmed by defenders of the breed, who blame the owner or the stigma and show no regard for the victim.

My 3 year daughter old lost her arm to an unprovoked pit bull, but instead of sympathy for the kid, there was just a bunch of pitsplaining.

Perpsplain 

When a perpetrator explains their actions towards a victim as if the victim is actually the perpetrator and the perpetrator is actually the victim.

The grandson perpsplained his reason for burning down his grandparent's home after he lit flammable liquids just outside their bedroom door.
