idealistic

One who believes that life should be lived as they like. Many hippies and hermits were idealistic, only this is only a portion. Morals may interfere with total idealism, especially if certain things were instilled in one as a child as being "bad". This results in guilt for doing "wrong" things, although some are able to overcome this and live their life to the fullest they think is possible.
Screw my condescending parents and their morals, I'm idealistic and don't want to be a mindless, robotic fool that conforms to every new trend!

Post-Adolescent Idealistic Phase

A person who just graduated high school/college student who tries to act like an adult, but still behaves like a high-schooler. They usually tend to use large words, pretending to have a large vocabulary because they think that it makes them look smart and impressive. Tend to think they know everything. (hint-the whole cast of "Real World")
"What, is Josh still trippin because he is in his Post-Adolescent-Idealistic Phase?"
-Clueless

Idealistic

Someone who is absorbed with living life the way they perceive it should be. They purposely overlook the darkness of human nature in favor of seeing everyone in an unrealistically good light. To an idealistic, there are no such things as bad people. There are only bad situations people are in that force them to act a certain way. Finally, an idealistic is someone who expects the best from people, not realizing that not everyone is willing to give up their time or money as willing as they are.
Idealist: Okay guys, everyone just needs to bring one dollar to school tomorrow to save someone's life!
the next day~
Idealist: Why did no one bring any money!
Student 1: I'm sorry, I forgot!
Student 2: I accidentally spent it on a candy bar this morning
Idealist: Guys! Come on, how could you. . .
Student 1: It's your fault for being so idealistic. You couldn't have really expected everyone to give a dollar away.

Post-Adolescent Idealistic Phase

The time after the pointless teen years in which a young person develops what are called "standards" and "morals." It is a time in which eyes are opened and "The Truth" suddenly becomes clear.

Usually beginning when one enters college, said young person reads deep literature, searches for the meaning of life, and listens to college radio, all the while secretly becoming even more confused than when he/she was an lame 16 year old.

The Post-Adolescent Idealistic Phase usually entails naive 18-20something year olds upholding hopeful, yet unrealistic morals. Often, utopian dreams can be confused for "The Truth."

After the phase has ended, the young person must beware becoming highly hypocritical and/or jaded once life has slapped them around a bit.
"Is Josh giving you shit because he going through his post-adolescent idealistic phase?"

Post-Interaction Idealistic Rumination

The process of ruminating on what one should have done or said in an interaction that just transpired or transpired earlier. During PIIR the individual typically undergoes feelings of self-abuse, anger, and/or embarrassment.
"Dude, I could have earned way more brownie points with Paige had I just tried to be more flirty. Now she probably thinks I'm a wank or thinks I’m not interested in her. Wait. Shit, SHIT! I gotta snap out of this PIIR."
"You're not a wank. And what's PIIR?"
"Post-Interaction Idealistic Rumination."
"That's quite a mouthful."
"Indeed."

or:

"I just agreed to go to church every Sunday morning with my neighbor. What the shit was I thinking?! I should have told him I'm busy literally every Sunday morning! #Fuckmylife."

Back when I lived in upstate new york

A meaningless, unimpressive, self-serving introduction. An indicator that the story about to be shared will be pointless and dumb.
Back when I lived in upstate new york, I also had to park on the street - on two occasions, we got enough snow, mixed with just the right plowing, that my car was lifted off the ground from so much snow being jammed underneath it.

Sister: This meeting was to discuss the rough draft of my essay, where we discussed the subsidiary questions I added in my rough draft. We also discussed the relationship between my main title and the real-life situations I chose to use in my essay. We discussed the structure of my essay as well, specifically the Math AOK section and how it relates to the contradiction of the title. This second meeting was particularly helpful in discussing the implications of my essay claims and how to apply the title across various areas of knowledge. There were many sections of the essay that could have been cut down in wordiness and the ways of knowing required further and more in-depth analysis.
