Blipage of the throttle in order to increase engine speed while simultaneously dropping the clutch at a comfortable but consistent and quick rate to accurately respond to and represent 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, or 6th gear.

The word "downshine" is normally used in unsatisfactory situations. It can be used to describe or express disappointment. This term is a word to describe negativity or failure. The opposite of "downshine" is "updull" which in rare cases can be referred to as a "UD"
