This word can have two meanings, both deriving from when people are talking on a whim. This can be in an argument where they come up with phrases such as degnut, fucktart, or dirtdick. Though uncommon, you probably have heard it somewhere but thought nothing of it.

Dognutter

Someone obsessed with dogs to the point of annoyance. Similar to pitnutters, they believe their dogs are never at fault for anything, and could care less about the damage caused by their pets. Never leave their dogs alone, riling them up even if the dog is barking.

Juliana is a total dognutter. I wouldn't be surprised if she was a furry.

Dognutter

The most annoying type of pet owner and they bring us dog-owners shame and bad reputation. They have a near-obsessive and co-dependent relationship with their dog. The pet becomes more important than any other human in their life (partner, children, or siblings). The dog is never wrong, the dog is their priority in their life, the dog never leaves their side. They can never make compromises when it comes to the pet because of its "anxiety'' (train it), they rarely ask permission to bring the dog on dates or to gatherings, they assume everyone loves their dog because its "cute". They lack dog-owner etiquettes and bring their dog to meet others in the streets, without asking permission first. Then they hate on any other dogs that don't get along with theirs. They make dog ownership a full-time job with no flexibility and act like know-it-alls.

"Her therapist said she had a codependence with her dog, her husband filed for a divorce cause he didn't want to continue competing for attention with a dog and her kids call her a dognutter and hate her guts.

"How did your date go?"
"Horribly. She brought her dog to the beach and didn't go swim because the dog didn't want to get in and she just kept talking about her dog like it was the most interesting conversation to have."
"Wow, what a dognutter."

"Let's take a trip to Italy,"
"I can't, I don't trust anyone to take care of my baby a whole week, I can't survive that long without her!"

That old lady dognutter that has a barking dog or smelly one in an airplane, not caring of how stinky the dog actually is or if anyone with allergies are near.

A dognutter would say...

"You come secondary to my dog, sorry not sorry"
"I can't sleep without my dog next to me,"
"It's the only animal that matter, the most loyal one!"

A term used when a man retains his nuts physically but loses them psychologically.

With muted horror, I watched the painfully slow-motion denuttification of this once courageous seeming man as he learned to deftly sleepwalk through his lengthy prison term, working as a psychologist for the state.
