A term used to specify something completely useless. Something that isn't worth a dime.

"Man, I feel like I just graduated underwater basketweaving!"
"Why don't you go practice your underwater basketweaving!"

Basketweaving is creating a long narrative of lies stringing people along with it. Basketweaving can take the form of simply making up a new term or convincing someone you can do/did something you didn't. Differently from simply just lying or gasligting, basketweaving is usually over the course of months, creating a "basket" of lies.

Person 1: "My boyfriend says he works at a restaurant, but always refuses to ever take me there and is oddly dismissive about anything related to his job."

Person 2: "Sorry, but I think he might be basketweaving."
