Nasty hatchet faced scumbag who has a hatred for mankind and nothing else better to do with his/her life than stamp yellow penalty tickets on folks cars that have to work for a living and find it impossible to do so nowadays cos of petty rules and regulations designed to make parking impossible without forking out a small fortune.
Traffic Wardens also fit into the category of total Jobsworths who relish pissing people off and then carry microcameras and recording eqiupment to further punish the irate motorist angry that he has been ticketed for going 1 minute over time on the parking meter.
Like the Dinosaurs, they are tyrants who will sooner or later be made extinct.

Oh fuck, there's the Traffic Warden, better go and put another small mortgage in the meter to last the next ten minutes!

Glorified Traffic Warden 

Noun. Another name for a Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) of the United Kingdom.

Powers they posess include taking naughty people's names down, performing a "citizen's arrest", and calling for back-up.

Supposedly they are there to look out for the local community. But, seeing as this is the police's primary responsibility, they just seem to be another reason for the British taxpayer to be robbed of more money. Apparently though it looks good on your CV (because as we all know there is a real need for crime tackling skills in telemarketing).

traffic wardon 

A male or female who has not been getting any recently and so feels the need to patrol the streets giving more fortunate people fines for parking their car in places that they shouldn't. Traffic wardons also do many other tasks which are important to maintaining the number of pissed off car owners.
