The Jersey

The jersey pertains to someone getting the sentence of life in prison without possibility of parole. This term has been referenced in many rap songs including, “100 Rounds“ by lil Durk, “BDK” by Lil Joni, and others. This term routed from Chicago where most of the rappers that use it are from, but has now become a more used term in other states. The terminology has also been used on the hit TV Show “Blue Bloods”.
“ free my homie Mikey, he got a charged for murder, The jury of 12’s about to throw him the jersey. He’s doin life!” - Lil Durk 100 Rounds.

The Jersey Wet Wipe

On St Patrick’s Day in a crowded bar in a women’s bathroom you pee on the only roll of toilet paper in the bar because you are from jersey and that’s how you roll.
The bitches were pounding on the bathroom door to hurry up so I gave them the Jersey wet wipe and bailed.

The Jersey Shake

The practice, primarily by men from NJ, of looking away as they shake your hand. Sometimes it's to see if there's someone more important in the room as they enter, other times it's a subtle reminder that they're glad you had a chance to meet them.
I just met your friend Joey, does he have a lazy eye? He seemed to be looking at something else while he was shaking my hand or did I get The Jersey Shake?

A story about a Jersey girl following her dreams, aided by working at this bar in New York.

Back when I lived in upstate new york

A meaningless, unimpressive, self-serving introduction. An indicator that the story about to be shared will be pointless and dumb.
Back when I lived in upstate new york, I also had to park on the street - on two occasions, we got enough snow, mixed with just the right plowing, that my car was lifted off the ground from so much snow being jammed underneath it.

Sister: This meeting was to discuss the rough draft of my essay, where we discussed the subsidiary questions I added in my rough draft. We also discussed the relationship between my main title and the real-life situations I chose to use in my essay. We discussed the structure of my essay as well, specifically the Math AOK section and how it relates to the contradiction of the title. This second meeting was particularly helpful in discussing the implications of my essay claims and how to apply the title across various areas of knowledge. There were many sections of the essay that could have been cut down in wordiness and the ways of knowing required further and more in-depth analysis.
