Stretched ear piercings.
The holes are stretched with larger and larger plugs. When you gradate to a big enough plug, it can have a hole in it and you can see to the other side, tunnels.
"Man your tunnels make me hot in my dirty places. I hope you never get a brain and realize that limp hoops of skin attached to your head are idiotic."

Not-so-secret "secret" at Haverford College in Pennsylvania. Refers to the series of tunnels(containing an elaborate heating/electrical system) originally constructed beneath the Haverford campus with the intention of keeping the place cozy and liveable in Winter...has since been infiltrated by generations of Haverford undergrads hell-bent on getting drunk/high, wandering through the maze of subterranean pipes and passageways, risking getting caught and hollered at by the Dean or control-freak upperclassmen..."tunneling" was totally CHOICE in the 1980's when most of the tunnels were still accessible and good, creepy fun could be had down there (picnics, beer parties, nookie)...now that most of the tunnels have been walled-off, etc...it's much harder to convince a fellow-'Ford to crawl drunkenly through 'em with you when the possibility of NEVER FINDING YOUR WAY OUT ALIVE looms and menaces. There is still the seductive lure of the yet-to-be-breached "SECRET DOOR" said to be hidden within the tunnels.
"Screw Customs, man---let's hit the tunnels!"

"The TUNNELS? Are you kidding me? I heard Poindexter went in last semester and fucking disappeared. Screw that...besides, they're having cheesesteaks in the Dining Hall tonight and I wanna get in line before that big guy from my Chem class eats 'em all."

steam tunnels

Underground tunnels made to deliver heat (in the form of steam) from a central heating plant to multiple buildings. Commonly found on college campuses. Often retrofitted with wires to deliver electricity or telecommunications. Sometimes used by students or other adventurers for recreational purposes, see urban exploration.
We found an open hatch that led into the steam tunnels, and spent a few hours exploring the campus from underground.

Northville Tunnels

Left to rot for 25 years. Anyone that grew up in with in 25 miles of Northville went here in the 80's and 90's. A gift from the leaders of 1920's Detroit. A place to let the county experiment on your kids from 1926 to 1974. Abandoned in 1974. Turned into a playground for delinquents. 3 miles of underground steam tunnels and 45 buildings to run around in.

Hamas tunnels

If YOU KNOW that the Hamas tunnels are SO DEEP underneath the civilian infrastructure that no military weapons will reach them.... Then... WHY ARE YOU BLOWING UP THE SCHOOLS AND HOSPITALS?
Hym "So... YOU KNOW... That the Hamas tunnels are too deep to reach... But... You just bomb them anyway? He literally just said that! He said 'The tunnels are too deep for us to reach, which is why I tell the Ukrainians to dig.' But if you know the bombs won't reach, why are you dropping the bombs? Because you don't care what you hit. The point of dropping the bombs is dropping the bombs. You kill whoever you kill. That's called 'bombing indiscriminately.' Ridiculous."

British slang for a scientist or technical expert, esp . when the speaker is not certain of the expert’s specific field of study. Not necessarily derogatory, but typically used by persons without a technical background. In the US, the equivalent would be “egghead”, “squint”, or “geek.”

Origin of the word is unknown. Started sometime in World War 2. Given the typical evolution of British slang, could easily have started because what these experts did was confusing or “baffling” to the common person.
According to the boffins downstairs, the murderer used a serrated blade.

Pee Calculus

When you have to pee in a movie but don’t want to miss anything, and must do the following mental equation: will the amount I have to pee cause enough discomfort to diminish my attention capacity for the remainder of the movie to an extent which is greater than the amount of the movie I would miss by making a mad dash to the restroom.
I saw Satantango last night, wonderful film but by the 5th hour I had to start doing pee calculus.
