Another word for an acquired taste, or when a food/drink slowly makes you like it, even if you originally hate it.

Guy: I thought you HATED licorice.
Girl: My family kept offering it to me when I visited, and I couldn't say no. So now I actually kind of like it.
Guy: Sounds like Snackholm Syndrome to me.

Stockholm Syndrome 

You might know it as the popular song by One Direction but it is a real syndrome.
Stockholm syndrome is a syndrome that is gained during being kidnapped. You begin to gain positive feelings for that person usually of the opposite sex. The main reason for obtaining Stockholm Syndrome is the kidnapper telling the captor that they will no kill them or if they feed them on a regular basis.

The captor begins to feel grateful and think of them as a good person or even start to gain feelings for their kidnapper not wanting to be rescued.

When they are rescued they talk about their captor as good or even loving person.

Belle from 'Beauty and The Beast' is said to have Stockholm Syndrome.

person 1, "Look at that girl on the TV, she just got rescued from that awful man."
person 2, "Whats's she saying?"
person 1, "That he was a great person. But he kidnapped her!"

Today it is used as psychological term to analyze mental patients who have been abused,tortured,kidnapped,etc. and many other situations

1-After many failed attempts to escape, the woman quit trying because she had developed Stockholm Syndrome for her captor.

2-Even though the toddler didn't like his new toy, he developed a Stockholm Syndrome for it.

It is when a person understands that the government and politicians are corrupt, but will not go down the rabbit hole because it shatters the paradigm they live in. In other words, when having a conversation about politics, they will readily agree that politicians lie, but when you begin breaking it down for them about how corrupt they actually are and point out any nefarious agendas, they will then call you crazy, or a conspiracy theorist. At this point, they will defend those who imprison them with the lies they accept as the truth.

Tom is a good guy, but he refuses to accept that there is no possible way a missile could have hit the pentagon. He refuses to use common sense to see that the engines and wings would have also destroyed the building, and not just leave a single hole. He truly has Political Stockholm Syndrome.

Most people in this country have PSS, they refuse to see the truth before their eyes.
