The practice of actively sabotaging a fanbase's reputation, often associated with individuals who are members within the said community.

A: " The pen community sucks for so many reasons, while the pencil community is a gift from the gods; nothing beats it."

B: "Can you please stop shamebagging our community? We don't like being represented as jerks. "

The act of bumping your own thread/post/video etc. on a forum/website/image board/message board to make it more popular than it actually is among real people. Used as a way to 'kick start' a post to help it gain popularity.

It doesn't work, don't do it.

This post is boring, why is it this popular? Oh yeah someone must have been samefagging lol what a tool.

The act of an online gamer adding a fake clan tag in front of his name so other people will think he is more experienced than he actually is. Examples can typically be found on your average Call of Duty or Counter-Strike server.

John: Damn, that guy has like 6 clan tags! He must be awesome!
Rob: Nah, ignore him, he's just shamtagging.

The female equivalent of being teabagged. It involves a woman dipping her lady parts onto an unsuspecting victim.

Common side effects for men include involuntary boners, sexual arousal and a rapturous round of high-fives from surrounding men.

In women it may lead to disgust or hopefully a random act of lesbianism.
