Definition/Meaning: The lowest state in life achievable that is even lower than rock bottom; A verbally insulting name that is extremely difficult to be cleansed of once you are labeled as pleb de la pleb by an innocent bystander

pleb filter

Piece of art/entertainment which is extremely inaccessible to the common person; this may be due to its complex or unusual nature.
Term usually used to state the superiority of said piece, while implying that anybody who can't enjoy it isn't experienced or open-minded enough to do so.

Dude 1: This band's records were mostly easy to listen, but the last one is very strange. Most songs last more than 10 minutes and there's a lot of ambient sections.
Dude 2: Wow, did anybody even manage to get into this at all?
Dude 1: Almost nobody. It's their ultimate pleb filter.

Pleb

Short for plebeian, a disrespectful term originally used to refer to lower class people or commoners in ancient rome. Could nowadays be used similarly disrespectful to describe someone who doesn't "get" good art, food, music or anything culturally relevant to you, as well as uneducated rude people in general. Can also be used half-jokingly in friendly banter.

"Wow you're such a pleb."

"Don't worry, your track is a banger. They're just plebs"
"Damn, this place is way too fancy, I feel like a pleb."

Wannabe French Pleb

A person that wears tops and other pieces of clothing which have French written on them, without knowing what it means. They wear these because it makes them seem “cultured” but actually they just look like an absolute pleb, therefore the name WANNABE FRENCH PLEB

Person- “I thought you hated cats??”
Wannabe French Pleb- “I do. Why are you asking??”
Person-“It literally says I love cats on your t-shirt!”
Wannabe French Pleb-“Ha I didn’t know that😂 I don’t understand French. I just thought it looked pretty!!”
