MALADO

MALADO means 'one who is fortunate' or 'good luck' in Fulani, of the Peul tribe of Western Africa.

It has no relation to latin-based similarly sounding 'malade' or 'mulatto'. It does NOT mean mixed-race.

the artist "Malado Baldwin" was named after a Senegalese woman.
