A subspace of the mind created to deal with trauma. Going into kittenspace is an escape from trauma. In kittenspace, a person takes on the personality of a kitten and no longer has complicated thoughts. Many kittens are subs in a dom/sub relationship. Kittens should be treated with love and affection.
Note: a person can'
t go into kittenspace unless they feel
safe. It is also something you have to coax them into gradually. Getting into kittenspace is not like a on/off switch. In kittenspace, the person can'
t access traumatic memories and wants lots of love and comfort.
Kittens can be found sleeping, eating, disobeying their caretaker, being punished, and snuggling.
Most kittens want a caretaker. This is because a
good caretaker can
help to keep them in kittenspace and make them feel
safe. Kittenspace is not the same as being a
furry. It is a subspace of the mind in which trauma cannot be accessed. It is also a form of BDSM.
dom: "kitten, come here. I need to tell you something."
sub: "yes daddy?"
dom: "I love you. Now come here and
sit on daddy's
lap so I can
read you a story."
sub: *climbs onto daddy's lap and snuggles in*
Next day:
friend: "where were you and your sub yesterday?"
sub: "I was telling him stories in kittenspace. He fell asleep in my lap! I won'
t let my precious baby go through any trauma ever again!"
