Bofades (pronounced bəʊf-ʌ-diz) was a Greek philosopher known for his various studies about the human psyche and what makes it tick. His studies, compiled together much later into a book titled "Nuts," predates Sigmund Freud's theories by quite a few millennia. It goes on to explain the several stages of human development and how they come together to create one whole being.

Bofadese is an ancient greek hero on par with Achilles, though he wasn't as famous. Bofadese, like Achilles, had but one crippling weakness, which is why we have the terms Achilles heel and Bofadese nuts.
