Your point?

Share definition Flag
Usually said when someone goes on a long rant about something you don't care about and fails to bring up a valid point, anything worth merit, or a compelling argument. Also said when someone speaks mindless drivel. Usually will cause a complete dumbass to rage and just give up.
dumbass " Ya man, I'm the greatest person to ever live. Sure I never went to college, made a fortune, helped out the less fortunate, not the best looking person, and have an IQ of 72, which is legally retarded and lower than Forrest Gump's, but I have the coolest wallet ever!!
Me " Your Point?"
Dumbass " Man fuck u man, you're just a hater and you're hating on my swag and success!! Quit being a player hater, even though I get no ass and live with my mom and I'm 40 and still a virgin.

Your point?

Share definition Flag
Something people say when they don't care about the subject being talked about to them. Note that it generally doesn't matter if there was a point said or not since a majority of people who use this term refuse to utilize more than four brain cells.
Person 1: You probably shouldn't do that because it negatively affects other people.
Person 2: Your point?

"I see your point!"

to your point

Share definition Flag
Phrase used to contradict another person's ideas, while making it feel like you have agreed with them.
Her: I don't think we should see each other anymore. You're just not there for me emotionally and I need more than that.

You: To your point, I think we should limit our relationship to strictly sexual, and I look forward to that. I’m glad we agree on this.

Can also be used in the 3rd person.

Jim: Peyton Manning rules.

You: I’m with Jim on this one. And to Jim’s point, Tom Brady is the best QB in the NFL.

Striver

Share definition Flag
The striver is an interesting phenomenon that is seen across college campuses. In essence, the striver is an over-achiever who comes from a working or middle class family. He may be an immigrant. He may have been a slacker in HS who was "born again" into an academic wunderkind. Or he may just be an over-achiever who is keeping at it.

The striver is willing to sacrifice his social life at the expense of Phi Beta Kappa and Summa Cum Laude. The striver is the guy who stays at the library long after you are gone. The striver is the guy who takes 30 credits/semester and considers anything below an A/4.0 failure. The striver doesn't work on campus, he is too busy finding ways to pad his resume instead of working retail or workstudy. The striver lets his grades pay his education by applying to ten scholarships a year.

The striver is a future Soros/Fullbright/Rhodes/Gates/Marshall/etc. fellow. The striver lives to study. For the striver, their fun comes from the rewards they expect to receive in return for their diligence. Be it Law School, B-School, academia, or politics. The striver seeks to find the American Dream through academic success.
Anthony was a striver. He transfered from a TTT to an IVY and graduated in 2 years. He studied his ass off and went to Penn Law. He got a Biglaw offer. But lost it all because of an unmoderated mesasgeboard.

Successful strivers:
- Barack Obama
- Harold Koh
