platforming strawmen

Pretty much how the internet started to work once it was accepted that you can kick out people that don't agree with you from your online community. As a result of a culture of 'de-platforming' and censorship, what actually started to happen was that people started to platform "strawman" - intentionally misrepresented proposition that is set up because it is easier to defeat rather than engaging with an opponent's real argument - instead.
"Internet today is just a bunch of platforming strawmen"

Strawman

The strawman or straw man, seems to be the only logical fallacy that most midwits online have ever heard of (except for maybe ad hominem). It does matter how irrelevant it is to the conversation, if the midwit is losing the argument they'll accuse you of using a "strawman". Most of them don't really know the definition. Also known as an "Aunt Sally" in the UK, or a "straw person" if you're woke.
You don't agree with me, so that is a strawman argument.

Strawmanning

A type of trolling where the Troller attempts to pwn someone by claiming something they said means something totally different to what that actually meant.
Innocent Person: "I think it is important that school children wear school uniforms".

Strawmanning Person: "Hitler believed in people wearing uniforms, are you trying to make all children Nazis?"

Innocent Person: No, that is not at all what I meant!

Strawmanning Person: Ha! I pwned you!

Strawman defense

Sometimes referred to as the "Sovereign Citizen defense" where somebody sets defense of invalid arguments under the law and misinterpret an argument based around the United States is a corporation, spelled their name in all caps, citing rulings that have no bearing whatsoever in their court case. This type of defense is generally used anti-socials looking to avoid any form of accountability.
There's John using the strawman defense filing paperwork that he's not really "John" because they spelled his name in all caps in his discovery file and misusing court rulings from 150 years ago to claim they have no jurisdiction over him so they must let him go.

Darrell Brooks tried this type of argument which is growing im popularity amongst psychopaths and their defense.

strawmanized

to incorrectly and unfairly make an opponent's argument seem as if it hold no water or has no weight nor bearing, as if the argument were a man, it would be easy to pushover. From a logic error when breaking down arguments, the "strawman" response to an argument.
Bush claimed that by voting down weapons ordinances, Kerry was against national defense, but he had really just strawmanized Kerry's argument.

Back when I lived in upstate new york

A meaningless, unimpressive, self-serving introduction. An indicator that the story about to be shared will be pointless and dumb.
Back when I lived in upstate new york, I also had to park on the street - on two occasions, we got enough snow, mixed with just the right plowing, that my car was lifted off the ground from so much snow being jammed underneath it.

Sister: This meeting was to discuss the rough draft of my essay, where we discussed the subsidiary questions I added in my rough draft. We also discussed the relationship between my main title and the real-life situations I chose to use in my essay. We discussed the structure of my essay as well, specifically the Math AOK section and how it relates to the contradiction of the title. This second meeting was particularly helpful in discussing the implications of my essay claims and how to apply the title across various areas of knowledge. There were many sections of the essay that could have been cut down in wordiness and the ways of knowing required further and more in-depth analysis.
