The belief in the necessity of an external coercive institutional authority. Statists may believe that the practical value of a state outweighs the moral discrepencies associated with statism, and therefore many believe that although the state may be an "immoral" institution it is a practical and necessary one. As to what responsibilities the state should have is a topic often times debated amongst proponents of statism.
Communism and Capitalism are both statist socio-economic means of organization both relying upon the cooperation and subordination of society to function. As of now there is very little or no land not currently under the influence of statism as nearly all land is under the influence of a country.

Hyper-Statism

A political tactic in which a person or group of people will state an idea or belief. After which, they will identify the people who are opposed to the idea or belief. Once this is done, they will begin to over-whelm the opposition with petty insults, pre-concieved talking points, and exaggerated (and even false) "facts". This over-whelming amount of insults and "facts" will make it so the opposition will not have the opportunity to reply. This is a common tactic used amongst both the Liberal party and media.
Liberal: I believe we should require everyone to pay 50% of their yearly income to the government like England and many other European nations, it would help alleviate a lot of problems.
Person: I think we should allow people to do what they want with their money, we live in a Capitalist and free society after all.
Liberal: What!? You don't want to help pay for welfare, medicaid, medicare!? You must hate the poor, and the elderly!
Person: But I-
Liberal: Well since you hate welfare so much you must also hate blacks. That makes you a racist as well. What? You dont want us to live in a nice society? You right-wing nazi! You must want to give all the money to rich people. Why are you so filled with hate? You probably hate Mexicans too since you dont support amnesty! You're so close-minded.
Person: I never said-
Liberal: You're nothing more then a fear-mongering islamophobic racist! Did you know 91% of conservatives hate minorities?
Person: Thats fals-
Liberal: Well they do, I just can't even stand your hateful attitude. You're so homophobic.
Person: Well this is Hyper-Statism at its finest.

familial statism

A form of tyranny that involves accepting power over one’s life from any family member. A familial statist can either be the older relative who controls their children at an unreasonable level, clips their wings, and stunts their growth for selfish purposes... or the younger relative who refuses to grow up and get their life in order on their own merits. You could sponge off any one of your relatives, or vice versa — be an enabler, and be considered a familial statist.
Andrew is a bootlicking familial statist. He really needs to stop living off his mommy, get out of the basement, and into the world. Get a job Andrew, familial statism is a passive disease and you need to buck up a bit.

Theo-Statism (Theophasism)

Theo-Statism (Theophasism) – The idea that God is the fundamental state or the primary “phase” of existence. As water can be solid, liquid, or gas, reality has phases; God is the base phase from which all others emerge. Not a being among beings, but the underlying condition of being itself. Theophasism suggests that enlightenment is a phase transition into divine state.
Theo-Statism (Theophasism) Example: “He argued that consciousness was a phase of God, like ice is a phase of water—theo-statism, divinity as the original state of matter-mind.”

AP Statistics

A class taken by many high school students to avoid taking Calculus. Little do they know, it's merely the unaborted result of a drunken one night stand between Math and English that inherited the ugly traits from both of it's parents. This little shit is deceptive. Students will enter the class with high hopes, but as the year progresses they slowly tumble into the black pit of never ending despair and existential dread as they realize that nothing can save them from the void of misery that is the approaching AP Exam.
Student 1: I'm going to avoid taking Calculus by taking AP Statistics.

Student 2: Good luck, fam. I'll pray for you.

The belief that all living and non-living things are simply representations of one central being called STAN and that love and freedom can unite all representations. Believers often call themselves 'stanites' or 'stanists'.
Stanism keeps me from getting my homework finished. I just can't see the point in becoming anything else when we're all the same thing anyway!
