reversico 

My husband and I have been separated for months I left him after discovering he was cheating. During the separation I went back to him after much cajoling and begging by him. That reconciliation went sideways after 2 months and ofcourse, he went back to the "other woman" because facing our issues was too much reality.

Now after more months of separation where I have had communication to reconsider and thought I could try to make it work, after more deliberation I have chosen not to. He called is "reversico"...which I thought was a kind of cool expression, "the tables have turned". Now the situation is reversed, hence, reversico....not sure if that is catchy enough or descriptive enough, but throwing it out there for others to ponder.

Life really can change on a dime, and situations can end up reversico!

revertigo 

When you see people from your past, you start acting like you did when you used to spend time with them. (i.e. you start acting like a 14-year-old when you unexpectedly run into your freshman year boyfriend at the grocery store)

As made popular by the character of Marshall Erikson on an April 2008 episode of CBS sitcom "How I Met Your Mother".

When Linda, the 50-year old elegant socialite, would squeal with delight, bounce on her heels and speak in 70's youth-vernacular whenever she got together with her sorority sister Patty. Her husband explained to his friend, "It's just Revertigo."

reversi

Reversi is a game played on an 8x8 board with black-and-white pieces, or stones. The object is to have more of your color of stones on the board than your opponent. Stones can be reversed from one color to another by surrounding the pieces.

reverstrophe 

A reverstrophe is what happens when you have a great plan that backfires. The end result: exactly the opposite of what you intended.

I set up Bob and Sarah on a blind date to help Bob move on after his break-up with Anna. When he got a whiff of Sarah's perfume and realized it was the same that Anna used to wear, Bob spent the rest of the evening crying in the bathroom and leaving messages on Anna's phone. What a reverstrophe!
