purgist

A person who has the compulsion to purge their darkest secrets or rat themselves out with little or no prompting.

Person 1: Hey, you seem nice, will you just watch over my little girl for 5 minutes while I try to change this tire.
Purgist: I'd love to, but I have to tell you, I have ADD and I'm easily distracted, I'm a boarder-line alcoholic, I lack the ability to make even the smallest decision, and I have a hard time controlling my bodiliy functions.
Person 1: On second thought, I'll just leave her in the back seat.

Roomate: Hey, Mindy, just remember our rent's due next week.
Purgist: Okay, here's my share of it. By the way, I was pissed off that you finished all the cookies, so I peed in your shoes, it wasn't the cat, and I feel much better now.

Someone who adheres strictly to tradition.

My mother is such a purist, she has to make everything from scratch when she cooks.

old school purist

One who is dedicated to the original and best version of various things. One who is not swayed in any way by trends, fads, styles, etc. of things. One who insists on high quality and is not interested in cheap knockoffs. One who detests all things that are inferior, even though these inferior things are hyped and promoted by the mainstream.

An old school purist who games would insist on playing the Original Dungeons & Dragons instead of all the later developed cheap imitations of the real thing.

Someone who listens to entire albums instead of just a few songs here and there. Person who follows albumism. Also albumer or albumist. Opposite of songer or songist.

Some album purist was aching me for buying a few songs off of iTunes.
