The word first came into common use after Ray Rankin's year 12 mathematics class heard him utter the phrase when they asked for help with a particularly difficult maths question. The Pubandit makes no attempts to clean up afterward. Upon being confronted, pubandits vehemently deny any involvement and may become belligerent and/or embarassed. In general they are a bane to a shared apartment setting.
