Prefensive

Becoming defensive about something that hasn't even happened yet, and probably never will.

I had been angry and prefensive all day because I new my boss was going to fire me and I had everything I was going to say loaded and ready...then he asked me in his office and I was like "here we go" ... then he told me he wanted me to plan the Christmas party.

Prefense

The action of avoidance to preclude having to defend from or resist and attack.

Through situational and spatial awareness, a person can avoid circumstances that would require a defense. This is Prefense.
