needs more cowbell 

This phrase was originally used by Christopher Walken on SNL with Will Ferrel. He was indicating that something needs more emphasis, or literally "Needs more cowbell".
Aired on April 8th, 2000.

This is also referenced in World of Warcraft in a quest in Outland, where you escort a ghost cow.
That was pretty good but it needs more cowbell.

needs more phil collins 

originating in online community we are the music makers, "needs more phil collins" signifies a poignant lack of phil collins in anything you please. usually it can be easily corrected by adding just the right amount of him, be it a jpeg or maybe midi samples of relevant phil collins musical endeavors.
"i'm sorry tue, but your submission for the university art contest needed more phil collins.

perhaps refer to your classmates' submissions. the world is just a better place with appropriate amounts of phil collins."

A tern used on r/greentext to basically say "this image looks terrible". It summons a bot which turns the image into a JPEG and the more times it's replied to with 'needs more jpeg' the blockier it looks.

needs more jiggawatts 

A phrase from the film Back to the Future. It was used in the movie by the Doc to voice concern that something needs to be more powerful.

Today, we use the same phrase to explain that things need to be more powerful or better.
Jon: Dude, my MP3 player can't hold anymore songs. It's only 256MB.

Mike: Needs more jiggawatts.

Needs more dragons

A sarcastic way of saying you don't believe the story you're being told. You're basically "helping them" to make the story more creative, while at the same telling them you know it is a story and not actually true.
Person: "So I met Prince Harry and got his number but then I lost it."
Me: "Cool story, needs more dragons."

needs more leafspring 

originated at the focaljet by MxRacerCam. in reference to the BBC car show Top Gear and it's disdain for the C6 model chevrolet corvette's leaf-spring suspension, despite the fact that the C6 is one of the best handling cars they have ever tested.

now used in reference to any situation (and most often a thread in a forum) that is weak or without merit.

trucker's tan 

A sunburn or suntan focused on the left arm. It is caused by the left side of the body being the only half that gets exposed to sunlight while driving. Presumably, it would be located on the right side of the body in countries where they drive on the left side of the road.
I had a trucker's tan after driving for 10 straight hours on a sunny day.

British slang for a scientist or technical expert, esp . when the speaker is not certain of the expert’s specific field of study. Not necessarily derogatory, but typically used by persons without a technical background. In the US, the equivalent would be “egghead”, “squint”, or “geek.”

Origin of the word is unknown. Started sometime in World War 2. Given the typical evolution of British slang, could easily have started because what these experts did was confusing or “baffling” to the common person.
According to the boffins downstairs, the murderer used a serrated blade.

Pee Calculus

When you have to pee in a movie but don’t want to miss anything, and must do the following mental equation: will the amount I have to pee cause enough discomfort to diminish my attention capacity for the remainder of the movie to an extent which is greater than the amount of the movie I would miss by making a mad dash to the restroom.
I saw Satantango last night, wonderful film but by the 5th hour I had to start doing pee calculus.
