LinkedIn Raver

Urban spoiled people with usually wealthy parents between 18 and 30. They study or work an office job. Trying to be artsy inside a corporate environment (Agencies, Start Ups etc.). It's about seeing and being seen. Not living in the moment, instead posting on Instagram. Copenhagen style. Boiler Room aesthetic. Less musical depth and exploration, more value on aesthetics. Less music nerds, but people that are trying to be cool. It's about fitting in the group, less about the individual.
That club is full of LinkedIn ravers!

LinkedIn

An online forum originally intended for professional people to form links with others that they know and trust professionally in order to further their own and their company’s business interests. LinkedIn was co-founded by Reid Hoffman who was previously Executive Vice President in charge of business and corporate development for PayPal and was launched in 2003. Unfortunately, like so many other things (Urban Dictionary for example), it has been overrun by talentless, self-aggrandising wannabes who have nothing to offer the workplace except copious quantities of bullshit.
Interestingly, Hoffman stated that 27 percent of LinkedIn subscribers are recruiters; perhaps this would explain why using recruiters to solve a staffing problem is usually a complete disaster, they’re so full of their own bullshit they believe everyone else’s.
“Have you heard that Malcolm has put up a profile on LinkedIn? Delusions of grandeur or what!”
“Delusions of grandeur? That fuckwit Heale shouldn’t even have delusions of adequacy!”

Walking Linkedin

People who always talk about themselves or things they've accomplished.
Don't invite Tiffany to the party. She is like Walking Linkedin. Everyone's going to want to leave.

LinkedInality

1. the state or quality of having existence or substance on LinkedIn;
2. its not fully a reality but it does have a part of reality, which is unfortunately sometimes needed to get attention to your LinkedIn profile and your résumé.
Do not believe everything you read on Linkedin where people post about their achievements, its LinkedInality not reality.

linkedin explosion

When one goes from being a "job seeker" on linkedin to being employed and wanting to show off to all your friends/colleagues through inviting them into your network.

Having minimal information on your profile and "in search of new career opportunity" to having a gratuitous amount of pages of text on a job you haven't even started yet.
Joe just had a linkedin explosion? Suddenly he thinks he's hot shit after landing that gig at BMW, he's adding everyone left and right bro.

Did you hear? Jill recently went from struggling liberal arts graduate to retail at Saks. She had a linkedin explosion and added our entire graduating class to brag about it through status updates.

A lighthearted reaction upon receiving disappointing news of some sort. Usually something that isn't a particularly a big deal, esp. when it primarily affects someone else - sort of a mild schadenfreude. Sometimes doubled or tripled, and possibly said in a sing-songy voice for added comedic effect to imitate a muted trumpet, which is how the meme originated.

Oblication

A vacation, feeling more like an obligation, that involves visiting or staying with family.
So Joe where are you taking the kids for spring break vacation? We are going on an oblication to Boca to visit my mother-in-law.

Surf Dracula Syndrome

A phenomenon in film/television series, most notably streaming series, where the main premise is drawn out to such a point that it takes an entire season or more to get the parts of the series the audience is actually interested in seeing.

For example, if a series is titled "Surf Dracula," a majority of viewers would tune in expecting to see Dracula surfing by the first or second episode. However, the entire first season would instead be tedious padding and backstory before finally ending with Dracula surfing in the last five minutes of the season finale.
I watched "Smallville" on Netflix the other day. Dude, it was ten seasons of filler before he finally flew! Major Surf Dracula Syndrome!
