Meg episode

An episode of a TV series in which the plot revolves around a boring or unloved side character. This term comes from a Family Guy episode in which the main character, Peter Griffin breaks the fourth wall and makes a reference to the phenomena by apologetically informing the audience that this was to be another "Meg episode".

the bane of my existence

Something that is so disagreeable with your spirit that it feels like its existence might negate yours.

This goes further than "hate," and implies that you and the object in question are sworn enemies.

Can be used seriously or, more likely, exaggerated for comedic effect.
Wearing socks with sandals is the bane of my existence.

The iPhone's autocorrect is the bane of my existence.

Stephanie's hair is the bane of my existence.

WOW! YOU EXIST!

The best compliment you can ever get from a mathematician.

For those of you who are confused, here's an explanantion:

All mathematicians, whether pure or applied mathematicians, will have studied their fair share of pure mathematics. Many mathematical theorems (statements that are shown to be unquestionably true) are of the form "There exists something in some collection of mathematical objects such that amazing property is true". This type of theorem is called an existence theorem. Essentially, when a mathematician says "WOW! YOU EXIST!" to you, they are refering to these existence theorems and that you're amazing.
In Baldi's basics, if you answer all 3 questions in the first notebook correctly, Baldi compliments you with "WOW! YOU EXIST!". I then thought Baldi was a based chad, until that impossible question...

Beach Episode

A standard filler episode in many Animes. A beach episode features characters on a spontaneous trip to a beach or pool with little plot progression.
Two characters just died last episode, the main characters were deeply saddened. The next episode features a completely spontaneous trip to a beach or pool; beach episode!

Back when I lived in upstate new york

A meaningless, unimpressive, self-serving introduction. An indicator that the story about to be shared will be pointless and dumb.
Back when I lived in upstate new york, I also had to park on the street - on two occasions, we got enough snow, mixed with just the right plowing, that my car was lifted off the ground from so much snow being jammed underneath it.

Sister: This meeting was to discuss the rough draft of my essay, where we discussed the subsidiary questions I added in my rough draft. We also discussed the relationship between my main title and the real-life situations I chose to use in my essay. We discussed the structure of my essay as well, specifically the Math AOK section and how it relates to the contradiction of the title. This second meeting was particularly helpful in discussing the implications of my essay claims and how to apply the title across various areas of knowledge. There were many sections of the essay that could have been cut down in wordiness and the ways of knowing required further and more in-depth analysis.
