electrophilia

To get off by anything to do with electronics, esp. shocking one's self, mainly in the genital areas. It is thought that this action is pleasurable. Different people have different limits to the electrophilia. Some people enjoy a gentle tickling, while others love intense pain from it, which is why sometimes this fetish is related to BDSM. Some people use home built machines to do the job, others use TENS machines. There's also a device called the violet wand in which is not that powerful, and is usually used with people that don't like strong currents, or people that don't know much about electricity. There are the obvious dangers of electrophilia, including a risk of burns, paralysis, and electrocution. One that has electrophilia is called an electrophile.
Guy 1: I just walked in on Sally shocking herself in her genitals!
Guy 2: Oh, Sally has electrophilia. She gets off to getting shocked.

Guy 1: Doesn't that hurt?
Sally (done shocking herself): No, I find it rather pleasurable.

Electroplankton

A game for the Nintendo DS which is one of Nintendo's primary examples of games which 'break the mold' of videogames. It was created by Toshio Iwai, a multimedia artist in Japan, and published by Nintendo.

Electroplakton is not really a 'game,' exactly, as much as it is sort of an electronic musical toy, played on the Nintendo DS. there is no goal, no score, no timer, nothing to unlock, no skill levels, no nothing. Just a musical toy which can be used to create audio-visual art pieces (or not) by interacting with various sets of plankton, each of which have their own behavioral patterns and sounds. While many people will have a fun time creating unique musical beats and sounds, many people will also think that this game is a large waste of money. As of May 2005, it has only been released in Japan, and no american release information is available.
Person A: "Wow, this is really fun!"

Person B: "WTF?!? These graphics suck! How do I unlock the next level? Can I use the plasma rifle? I'm pwning you!!! I hate this fucking game!"

Electropalm

Woman: "Why it's my Blackberry of course.. duh."
Man: "Jebus! You have serious electropalm."

electroclash

A style of electronic music fusing elements of techno, punk and 80’s synth pop. Epitomised by a move away from the largely DJ-driven dance music of the 90’s towards a more performance-based format with a much stronger emphasis on lyrical content. Essential early influences include 80’s synth artists like Gary Numan, New Order, pre “Dare” Human League (eg: “Being Boiled”), The Normal with “Warm Leatherette” and the dark disco style of Giorgio Moroder. Aesthetically the movement owes much to the 80’s cult sci-fi film “Liquid Sky”.
The term “Electroclash” was coined (and copyrighted) by New York DJ Larry Tee who staged the first “Electroclash” festival in 2001 grouping together likeminded electro artists including Fisherspooner, A.R.E. Weapons, Adult., Peaches, Chicks on Speed and Ladytron. The term gained widespread currency that same year when established DJ Felix Da Housecat teamed up with the High Priestess of Electroclash, Miss Kitten to produce “Silver Screen - Shower Scene”, giving the movement it’s first worldwide smash hit.
Lary Tee’s act of copyrighting the term “Electroclash” appears to have alienated many artists who now furiously deny any association with it leading to some uncertainty of where the movement’s boundaries actually lie. This situation has been further compounded by later bandwagon jumpers latching on to the movement’s more obvious cliché’s (eg: vocoded vocals and lyrics about androids) resulting in some ridicule incurred by the independent artists being undeservedly heaped upon the wider movement.

West Midlands slang word for rockers, bikers, greasers etc. In the late 1980s it was used by the UK music press to refer to a specific scene centered around the bands Pop Will Eat Itself and Crazyhead. The term never found favour with readers of 'the inkies' (Sounds, Melody Maker and the still extant NME) and was soon dropped. Now often used in predominantly working-class areas of the midlands and the north to mean someone who listens to rock-derived music and/or dresses in a manner that suggests they affiliate themselves with rock music of some kind.
Some grebo passed with Sabbath playing on his stereo.
