decimal phone

n. a mobile phone without a full QWERTY keyboard.

Unlike a dumb phone, the decimal phone can have any number of advanced features but simply lacks the (crucial) above-mentioned I/O device.
Thomas: How come you never reply to my text messages?

Percy: I've still got a decimal phone and it sucks for texting!

Decimal Brothers

Two AMAZING arab brothers on Youtube that make hilarious videos. Quite cute, too.
The Decimal Brothers have their name like Batman. Batman hates bats, so he named himself Batman. Decimal Brothers hate math, hence the name Decimal Brothers.

Decimal Child

When your family has an even number of children and there is not an exact middle child, the “middle children” are called decimal children. This is because there is no even number with a whole number as the exact middle. The middle of 4 is 2.5.
That family with 4 children has 2 decimal children. The “middle children”.

decimal fraction

Used in a minority of countries to pretend the presence of a metric system, when in fact a non-metric system is used. Instead of using a designated smaller unit or real fraction, the bigger unit is used with a decimal point.

More often used in combination with the decimal system to describe numbers that are not even.
Geoff: “It’m 6 feet and 5 inches tall.”

Heidi: “uh… I only know the metric system.”

Geoff: “Oh, sorry. That’s 6 5/12 feet.”

Heidi: “That’s a real fraction, not metric, though.”

Geoff: “Oh right. I mean 6.42 feet.”

Heidi: “OK, that’s a decimal fraction alright, but still not metric 🤣”
Geoff: “Hey Siri, what’s 6 feet and 5 inches in metric?”
Siri: “6 feet, 5 inches is equivalent to about 1.96 meters.”
