Canelo Álvarez
Saul Álvarez, known as 'Canelo' is a Mexican 4-division boxing world champion, who is widely recognised as 'The Face of Boxing'. Notable wins come against Miguel Cotto in 2015, Gennady Golovkin in 2018 (controversial) and a vicious 6th round knockout against Amir Khan in 2016. His only loss came back in September 2013, against the great Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Canelope
The fruit names cantaloupe and muskmelon are used somewhat interchangeably. What is generally called cantaloupe in the west is really a muskmelon, characterized by a webbed surface. Cantaloupes have a smooth and lumpy skin with deep ridges. Cantaloupes were cultivated in Egypt's Nile valley as early as 2000 B.C.

The difference between melons and squashes is very simply, it's the way that they are used. Squashes are considered vegetables, while cantaloupe melon is fruit, with sweet and juicy flavor.

A person affected by “Caneloholism” - a chronic and progressive disorder marked by an excessive and usually compulsive desire to convince you that Saul (“Canelo”) Álvarez is either the greatest boxer of all time or better than any other boxer that you name.

Common traits among Caneloholics include (1) irrational explanations for why Canelo’s failures to win the Mayweather fight or the first GGG fight either do not count or should be minimized; and (2) claims that you have a bias of some type if you do not share the Caneloholic’s beliefs about Canelo’s greatness and overall ranking in the history of the sport.

He is the worst kind of Caneloholic. He told me the Mayweather fight doesn’t count because Canelo was too young when they fought. When I named three or four fighters who one championships at the same age or younger, he said that doesn’t count because he had not heard of those fighters.

Boffin
British slang for a scientist or technical expert, esp . when the speaker is not certain of the expert’s specific field of study. Not necessarily derogatory, but typically used by persons without a technical background. In the US, the equivalent would be “egghead”, “squint”, or “geek.”
Origin of the word is unknown. Started sometime in World War 2. Given the typical evolution of British slang, could easily have started because what these experts did was confusing or “baffling” to the common person.

When you have to pee in a movie but don’t want to miss anything, and must do the following mental equation: will the amount I have to pee cause enough discomfort to diminish my attention capacity for the remainder of the movie to an extent which is greater than the amount of the movie I would miss by making a mad dash to the restroom.
