Cailean is a lively, authoritarian, ambitious, self-assured and passionate man who needs to be physically active and always moving forward. He could seem quite impressive at first, and appears to be strong, reliable and trustworthy. It´s true that he tends to be made of stern stuff, and can occasionally be quite argumentative and even arrogant, loathes flattery and is allergic to restriction. Impatient, and endowed with astonishing mental agility, he can also be irritable, nervous, aggressive and possibly even violent if he considers that certain lines have been crossed... Even so, most of the time he is extremely pleasant, responsible, curious, adaptable and capable of introspection when necessary. He is usually fascinated by adventure and novelty, and could often feel torn between his sense of duty and responsibility - and the desire to live his life the way that he desires, without worrying about what anyone else thinks, and either of these tendencies could prevail, depending on the moment and the circumstances. Cailean comes across as a solid, sturdy character who can be leaned on, although he would prefer to relinquish some of the responsibility that he feels for others, who benefit greatly from his helpfulness and his tendency to take things seriously. As a child, he is brimming over with energy, and a rigid authoritarian attitude certainly won't hold much sway with him.
Cailean is so calm, cool, and collected!

Gaelic name for "Beautiful Girl." Cai is the term for beauty that is both physical and spiritual, unlike álainn, which just means physical beauty. Leen means little girl or small child.

In Irish folklore, the name Caileen has been used to represent a girl who is greatly unaware of her own worth. She is beautiful and kind but unaware of it, often helping and befriending people of a "lesser status".
Eric: If I ask her out, do you think she'll say yes?
Bri: It's Caileen we're talking about! She'll probably say yes and be shocked why you would even want to go out with her!
Eric: Are you kidding me? She's beautiful.
Bri: Try telling her that...

A very sweet, loving guy who loves mac and cheese and his girlfriend. He is very athletic and usually tall. (That doesn't mean you're short. It just means that he is extra tall.) He is surrounded by lots of people that care about and love him. But he always has that one somewhat toxic friend with a J name. He likes dogs and is a big nerd. He will ball you up in basketball any day. He is very lovable and once you have him, he becomes your whole world and you love him with all your heart and limbic system. He is very attractive and handsome even though he refuses to admit it. He is "always right" and always seems to prove you wrong even when you have factual evidence. But, you will always love him and are very lucky to have him in your life.

Trapped Chilean Miner

Chilean Way

A way of doing things or solving problems with very little resources but meticulously planned in order to obtain the best possible result or the greatest benefit from a difficult or unsafe situation.-

Although it derived from the spanish original "A la Chilena", which has a broader meaning, the english form is more often used, even by spanish speakers, to denote the more specific meaning written above.

The term was coined locally in South America in the mid-eighties, when, under Augusto Pinochet's dictatorship, chileans managed to survive a great economic depression by being very inventive business-wise and diversified the country's economy, rather intuitively than with actual training.

The "Chilean Way" met global significance in February 2010 when Chilean newly elected State Officers faced the "2010 Concepcion earthquake" and were challenged with Reconstruction issues, wich they did very effectively and efficiently in order to solve immediate needs of nearly 2 million of the most affected people.

Further world recognition of the phrase came after the rescue of 33 copper miners, that same year, who spent 69 days trapped over 2,300 ft (700 mts) underground, with no casualties whatsoever.
- Dude, how did you managed to throw a party with so little cash?
- Chilean way, dude... the chilean way.

- I can't believe they're making us build this model overnight!

Back when I lived in upstate new york

A meaningless, unimpressive, self-serving introduction. An indicator that the story about to be shared will be pointless and dumb.
Back when I lived in upstate new york, I also had to park on the street - on two occasions, we got enough snow, mixed with just the right plowing, that my car was lifted off the ground from so much snow being jammed underneath it.

Sister: This meeting was to discuss the rough draft of my essay, where we discussed the subsidiary questions I added in my rough draft. We also discussed the relationship between my main title and the real-life situations I chose to use in my essay. We discussed the structure of my essay as well, specifically the Math AOK section and how it relates to the contradiction of the title. This second meeting was particularly helpful in discussing the implications of my essay claims and how to apply the title across various areas of knowledge. There were many sections of the essay that could have been cut down in wordiness and the ways of knowing required further and more in-depth analysis.
