A descriptive word, used to comment on the busy-ness or craziness of a situation, usually meaning a lot of people. It can also be used to describe an item, meaning good, or cool. Most generally used as a replacement to the slightly outdated "rockin'". Best when used in conjuction with the word "rat" (assuming that rat=right).
"Man, this place is rat bompin'"
"Whoa, that's one bompin' shirt"

A bampin is short for the Dutch "boterham met pindakaas", meaning a peanutbutter sandwich. Boterham is often affectionately called a "bammetje", which is turn is abbreviated to "bam". "Pin" clearly speaks for itself.
Oh man, I am really craving a bampin for lunch.

West Midlands slang word for rockers, bikers, greasers etc. In the late 1980s it was used by the UK music press to refer to a specific scene centered around the bands Pop Will Eat Itself and Crazyhead. The term never found favour with readers of 'the inkies' (Sounds, Melody Maker and the still extant NME) and was soon dropped. Now often used in predominantly working-class areas of the midlands and the north to mean someone who listens to rock-derived music and/or dresses in a manner that suggests they affiliate themselves with rock music of some kind.
