At its best it means interested in politics and government; trying to make a changes in public policy, laws or the government working to get an official elected, or lobbying to have legislation passed, collecting petition signatures. It can also mean a person trying to change things for their own benefit, to gain status or power in the workplace. It can also mean someone who is a nuisance, constantly wanting to change things and who interferes in matters that are none of their concern. At its worst it means a total fuckwit like Russell Brand a self-styled activist for whom politically active means espousing views that the majority of people find repugnant or ridiculous.
Some people are politically active because they have nothing else in their lives.
A left wing (BLM/Antifa) activist who jumps on to any officer involved shooting when there is little to no information available to make far reaching politically motivated assumptions and demands. Eventually these assumptions are overwhelmingly proven false by bodycam and autopsy reports
I saw the bodycam after hearing how she 'promoted peace' only to see her trying to stab someone. You just can't trust those ambulance chaser activists
When someone uses a “woke” cause to ensure their social media following knows that they care... when actually, all they care about is their influencer status and the amount of like they’ll get.
“Hey, have you seen that Guy is constantly posting about this cause on his feed?”
“Yeah, of course... they have to at least LOOK like they care. Performance activism is his forte. That’s perfect follower material, right there!”
A person who, upon seeing a political message on a social networking site, instantly becomes a die-hard supporter despite knowing nothing about the subject.
Jackie -OMG, I just saw KONY2012. Save the Children!!!!

Informed Individual- You know this has been happening 26 years and that the Ugandan gov did the same thing to get in power... overnight activists
