1. The (former) man in a married couple after a transition to being a woman.

2. This word with this spelling recognizes that the individual is a Woman and a (former) Husband. Perfect for use when one opts not to use the word Spouse or Partner or Wife.
3. Affirms both who the transgender person is and who she used to be in the marriage.
4. Used as a sign of fondness for, and with light-hearted humor about, the person one married when they no longer identify as the man you married.
5. Can be used to help a listener understand that this person used to be a different gender. Affirms that the transgender woman appreciates both who she was as a man and who she is now as a woman.
