The Knox School
A Boarding school found on the north shore of Long Island, where, if the students are persuasive enough, they can get away with anything. It's beautiful campus was the former summer home of an almost president and many say that the main girl's dormitory, Houghton Hall, reminds them of Hogwarts. The sports team have little to no skill, with the exceptions of horseback riding and soccer.
Apart from the scholastics and student life, there is another dimension to The Knox School. There is an Indian burial ground in the back yard of Houghton Hall and many have claimed to see ghosts wandering around campus. The main places to find these spirits are in the hallways of the girls dorms, in the meeting room, and in the barn.
The co-ed population of this school only consists of a little over 100 students. If you have any hidden secrets, they will find a way to be exposed on this campus.
This school is full of outdated traditions, such as subjecting the female population to wear floor length gowns and elbow length gloves during graduation, and daily morning school meetings which all students are required to attend. Others include sit down lunch and dinners, where one student from each table serves the position of "waiter." This position rotates on a schedule. A lantern parade marks the end of the pre-graduation ceremonies where every student is required to march with their class holding a paper lantern and chant their grade's song.

The Knox School (Australia), one of the independent, co-educational, non-denominational day school. During today, there are more than hundred international students study in this school. Also because of international overload problem. The Knox School is starting to introduce some of the idea can actually separate International and Local students. Therefore, the school is falling down...
Me: Hi Bangy how are you, no time no see huh.

Bangy: Seriously, there are a lot of changing in our school during this year...

Bangy: Yea, that school is starting to separate us and local students which we will have different timetable also the classes are different.

Bangy: Means we will have a class with international only. Sounds like the school is separate too.
Me: Damn that...that, i have nothing to say seriously.
Not just the school stupid, also the class mate are stupid as well. He just blame to my school as a rich school which people love to show off. That doesn't even happen I can't see once in my school.

Bangy: Possibly if still going bad, however one of my class mate preferred stay in this school until graduate.

Knox on the Door
When you or a small Girl Scout knocks on a strangers door to sell some cookies, and immedeately about 16 german sheppards attack the door, growling and barking in a rabbid fashion. Then a deranged man in a wife-beater, comes out with a shot-gun and tells you to run off. Reminding you of Fort Knox.
Girl Scout 1: "I hope this nice man buys at least one cookie, so that I can afford a new shirt, other than this one I've been wearing since I was 2."

Striver
The striver is an interesting phenomenon that is seen across college campuses. In essence, the striver is an over-achiever who comes from a working or middle class family. He may be an immigrant. He may have been a slacker in HS who was "born again" into an academic wunderkind. Or he may just be an over-achiever who is keeping at it.
The striver is willing to sacrifice his social life at the expense of Phi Beta Kappa and Summa Cum Laude. The striver is the guy who stays at the library long after you are gone. The striver is the guy who takes 30 credits/semester and considers anything below an A/4.0 failure. The striver doesn't work on campus, he is too busy finding ways to pad his resume instead of working retail or workstudy. The striver lets his grades pay his education by applying to ten scholarships a year.
The striver is a future Soros/Fullbright/Rhodes/Gates/Marshall/etc. fellow. The striver lives to study. For the striver, their fun comes from the rewards they expect to receive in return for their diligence. Be it Law School, B-School, academia, or politics. The striver seeks to find the American Dream through academic success.
