Slowmance

When a romantic relationship is moving slower than dead people. One person is generally aware, and pissed off. The other is totally oblivious and waiting for the "right moment" to take things further.

Guy1- Dude, you and Kate have been going out for like two years! Maybe it's time you kissed her?

Guy2- I'll do it when I'm ready, okay?

Guy1- Jeez, bro, how much longer will you keep up this damn slowmance?

To have been banned from a message board and have had any and all evidence of your existence on that board removed permanently, usually done without warning, notification, or explanation. Origins: from the bbs handle of a customer of Nebraska football message board (slowhand) who was one the first recipients of such action on that board, soon to be followed my many other customers of that board who began to use the term "slowhanded" to describe the action

Because the site administrator didn't like fans who could actually make a cogent argument, he was slowhanded.

Snowmance

The brief but intense relationship formed between strangers undertaking similar acts in the snow. This could encompass the respectful nod between two people Suicycling, talking to neighbours you have never spoken to as you shovel driveways, or asking the man beside you if he wants to grab a beer after pushing a stranded motorist's vehicle. Most snowmantic relationships are fleeting.

I got three hugs off separate strangers today. Snowmance is in the air.

Once the run is over so is the romance.
The term originated in the theater and moved to movies and scripted television and then reality television.
The term has now moved to the populace to discribe any contrived romance.

Dude 1: I didn't know Anthony and Cicely were dating.
Dude 2: It's just a showmance, Cicely is just dating Anthony just to make Edgar jealous.
