traditional home of the Rajputs, a clan of Kshatriya
warriors (Kshatriyas are the second-highest caste in the
traditional Hindu caste system).
Much of Rajasthan is a desert-like landscape.
The capital city of Rajasthan is Jaipur, named after its founder, Jai Singh II. It was one of the first planned cities of Northern India.
