McMartial Arts

Systems of 'self defense' taught by marginally skilled instructors that have little practical application in real world situations; so named because McMartial Arts dojos or dojangs offer a relatively cheap, low quality 'product' and are often found in the same strip malls as fast food restaurants. McMartial Arts instructors typically focus on flashy, relatively useless, moves and tournament competitions, while offering their students rapid belt advancement that fails to reflect their true skill level.

Mixed Martial Arts 

A combat sport (colloquially known as "MMA") in which fighters incorporate several different types of martial arts (and often use a hybrid of such styles), including Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Boxing, Muay Thai, Judo, Wrestling, etc. One of the fastest growing sports in the world. Made very popular and brought into the mainstream largely due to UFC. UFC and MMA are the not the same thing; UFC is to MMA what the NFL is to football. Fights are organized by promotions, the largest of which today are the UFC and Bellator.

A sport where many ppl who study different types are martial arts come together to fight to see who's better. You have stand-up work, which is the martial arts like Tae Kwon Do and Muai Thai, then you have ground work like wrestling, grappling, and Jiu-Jitsu. It's a painful and dangerous sport, but anyone who tries will learn respect and strength. Plus you'll be one BAAAD mother fucker. XD

Mixed Martial Arts fights are UFC style fights and things like that.
