May-May tribe

The May-May tribe is a fictional indigenous group similar to the Mayan tribe living 50 km from St. Hermione hospital, known for their mysterious prophecies and unique calendrical systems. Often referenced in discussions about apocalyptic predictions and cultural interpretations of time, this indigenous tribe had once predicted that the apocalypse would happen on Tuesday, April 2nd 1991, which was going to coincide with the fasting month of Ramadan. At a later time, it eventually turned out that this D-day is just the end of the calendar of May-May tribe which had spanned for 5590 years, which is akin to the end of the Showa era and the beginning of the Heisei era back in 1989 — as "apocalypse" is a concept coined by the modern civilization that is completely unknown to the May-May tribe.
Ever since I learned about the May-May tribe's prediction that the apocalypse would happen on Tuesday, April 2nd 1991, I can't help but wonder what other hidden meanings their calendar might hold.

Ji-May-May

Clairvoyant voodoo technique used by pygmy dwarves beneath Bhutan to enhance olfactory sensitivity that enables one to discern a person's thoughts through the smell of their sweat.
Girl one: Jesus fucking Christ, it's like she knows what I'm thinking all the time!

Girl two: this is because she has the power of Ji-May-May.

may or may not

Used to say I (they) have without directly saying it.
I may or may not have had sex with her last night

may or may not be

Quite possibly the dumbest phrase ever. As if there could, in some other scenario, be some unknown third outcome other than the aforementioned two.
Person: "He's going to be accepted into Yale."

Moron: "That may or may not be the case."

Back when I lived in upstate new york

A meaningless, unimpressive, self-serving introduction. An indicator that the story about to be shared will be pointless and dumb.
Back when I lived in upstate new york, I also had to park on the street - on two occasions, we got enough snow, mixed with just the right plowing, that my car was lifted off the ground from so much snow being jammed underneath it.
