Makersplain

You just made something awesome. You share it with a fellow maker. They proceed to tell you why you should have used different parts, coded in a different language, and if you'd just asked, they would have saved you a lot of time. Its mansplaining - but for makers.
"I was proud of the new thing I made, but Bill told me I did it all wrong. He would have used python on a Raspberry Pi."
"Ignore Bill, he makersplains everyone - he thinks he's being helpful, even though he's not."

MikeSplained

When the ever-amiable Mike steps in with a dash of charm and a dollop of reason to elegantly challenge the world of conspiracy-laden fallacy.
The flerfs got MikeSplained and it didn't hurt a bit.

mastersplaining

When someone seems to enjoy explaining things so much and explain waaaaay more than they need to, you swear they cum while doing it.
Did you see Joe's eyes light up when the teacher asked him what he thought about Beowulf?

Yeah, he was mastersplaining why that book is awesome for like 5 minutes.

Mikesplain

When Mike politely corrects false information with facts that he has in his large brain.
He politely pulled my aside and mikesplained that I did not need 94 octane gas and that 91, as per my drivers manual, would suffice to keep my engine running in tip-top condition.

Mersplain

(v.) Mer splain
Meryl Streep, during her 2017 acceptance speech of the Cecil B. DeMille Award, revealed earth shattering revelations to the world. Meryl was able to point out previously unknown concepts such as racism is bad, discrimination against people based on religion is really bad, and without Hollywood the world would have no art. None at all. To Mersplain is deliver amazing insight into topics that you just found out about and always add an ironic jibe while doing so.
Taylor, " Wow! Guns are really bad and can kill people if they are mishandled. Only hicks would own them."
Dave, "Way to Mersplain. Up until you said that I thought guns were alright and that all kinds of people own them."

mikesplaining

To claim that someone was wrong when explaining something and then proceeding to give an almost exact detailed explanation of the same thing by using more complicated words with the tone of a pretentious asshole.
She described a dog to be a cute, furry animal, but he said that was absolutely wrong. He was mikesplaining that a dog is actually a 4-legged canine that can be a variety of colors and needs food and water to survive and often has an intense hatred of cats.

Marketsplaining

A form of gaslighting that invokes “markets,” “the economy,” “wage slavery,” or “hyperslavery” to dismiss critiques of economic exploitation. The perpetrator explains why low wages, precarious work, or inequality are “just how markets work” and frames any call for change as economically illiterate. Marketsplaining often presents a particular economic system as natural, inevitable, or the only possible arrangement—ignoring that markets are socially constructed institutions subject to political choice.
Example: “She pointed out that many workers can’t afford rent despite full‑time jobs. He replied ‘that’s supply and demand—you can’t fight economics.’ Marketsplaining: using the concept of markets to naturalize exploitation.”
