A love scar is any minor physical injury, such as scratches, cuts, bruises, hickeys, or bite marks, caused by any type of sexual activity, not intended to directly harm the person (typically accidental; marks left by things such as toys and BDSM tools are usually not included, as it is more associated with lust than love, and it is an intended injury). The sexual activity must be mutual, hence "love" scar. In the case of non-mutual similarities, see sexual assault.

"Kiss me," I whispered into his ear. He leaned into me, and gently kissed me on the lips. We stayed like that for a long time. I loved him so much. When we pulled away I said "I love you Derek. I want to go to Hawaii and marry you and have seven kids named Bobby, Lobby, Fozzy, Knozzy, Swiffer, Lenny and Frezzy." He looked taken aback. By that time I had already combined our bank accounts, booked a hotel room with a double bed and gotten our wedding rings. When I told him this, he ran away, saying something like "Love scare!"
