Involution

A spiraling decay of mental wellbeing. Especially in modern day China, referring to a feeling of hopelessness, pointlessness, and dread created by an oppressively competitive and overworking society with strict expectations.

This government led involution that plagues our people today is ruthless in convincing society that they always need to work harder and compete harder, against our own neighbors, to meet the high expectations that were set for us – it’s killing us.

Evolution of an individual or family bloodline trait that is controlled by humans through indirect or direct manipulation of the genome, as opposed to a process of natural selection.
