Hangnail 

A strip of skin at on either side of a fingernail people pick at. Hangnails are extremly painful, and very addicting. It's a habbit for some to pick at hangnails until the strip of skin has come off, and start a new one after they're finished bleeding.

During dinner Margo's thumb started bleeding all over the place because she just kept picking at her hangnail.

I went on this mission to the Amazon, where few people wear clothes. Not that they needed them, women had hangtits all the way to their vagina's!

hangmail 

An e-mail containing a time-sensitive question for which you are awaiting a response. When such an e-mail is sitting in one's inbox, they are said to have a 'hangmail'.

2: (via SMS) "BTW I asked you to marry me through e-mail. Can you at least confirm that it went through? I hate hangmail."
