A period during which there are no impending calls upon your time and an ample supply of spirits.

I couldn't work during the Covid-19 lockdown but I had a cupboard full of booze, so it was just one long ginterlude for me.

Winterlude 

A winter festival in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It includes skating, snow slides, ice sculpting competitions and just generally frolicking in Canada's wintery goodness.

We went down to Winterlude and went skating, it was nice.
