The act of passing off someone else's creative work as your own. Plagiarism. Particularly when used by narcissistic individuals to make themselves appear superior when in reality everything about them is a lie.

Judy claimed to be a renowned screen-writer and creative genius but her reputation was built entirely on gatissing.

If only the theatre company had been aware of her reputation for gatissing she would never have driven them to the point of bankruptcy

AKA blue balls but for vehicles.
